Bali – Fisherman

While traveling through Bali I had the good fortune of coming across this particular gentleman who was preparing to fish in a nearby lake.After taking this photo of him, I was surprised by his offer to take me for a ride in his hand carved canoe. I could see that he was very proud of himself and his work.After the short canoe trip he invited me to his home. Always eager for additional photo opportunities I was happy to agree. His wife was equally gracious when her husband arrived back at home with a stranger, to whom was offered tea and cookies - a wonderful ending to another encounter.
