Old Synagogue - Palovitch

“Palovitch had at one time been a thriving town, with a large Jewish community and a history that dates back to the bronze age. Most of the buildings of the town disappeared during the Second World War. In what would have been the old centre of town there stood an old building all alone. I began to photograph this beautiful building as it fascinated me. Amazingly enough it turned out to be the synagogue built in the 1850’s, it had survived and now was a local museum which contains a section about the Jewish history of Palovitch.”
